How long does a garage door installation take?
A standard single or double garage door installation takes 4-6 hours including removal of the old door, new door installation, opener setup, and cleanup. We schedule installations in the morning and you'll be using your new door by afternoon.
How often should garage door springs be replaced?
Standard springs last about 10,000 cycles (roughly 7-10 years of normal use). High-cycle springs last 25,000-50,000 cycles. We always recommend replacing both springs at the same time even if only one has broken.
Is it safe to operate my garage door with a broken spring?
No. A garage door with a broken spring is extremely heavy and dangerous to operate manually. The opener can also burn out trying to lift the unbalanced weight. Do not attempt to use the door — call us for same-day spring replacement.
Should I get an insulated garage door?
If your garage is attached to your home or you spend time in the garage, insulated doors are worth the investment. They improve energy efficiency, reduce noise, and are more durable than non-insulated panels.
Can you match my existing garage door panels?
In many cases we can replace individual damaged panels rather than the entire door. We stock common panel styles and can order replacements for most major manufacturers. If your door is older, we'll let you know if a full replacement makes more sense.
