How long does a custom kitchen cabinet project take?
From initial design to completed installation, a typical custom kitchen takes 8-12 weeks. Design and approval take 2-3 weeks, fabrication 4-6 weeks, and installation 3-5 days. We provide a detailed timeline at contract signing.
What's the difference between custom and semi-custom cabinets?
Semi-custom cabinets offer a range of options within standard sizes and configurations. Fully custom cabinets are built to your exact specifications — any size, any configuration, any wood species, any finish. If you can dream it, we can build it.
What wood species do you work with?
We commonly work with maple, cherry, white oak, red oak, walnut, hickory, alder, and birch. We can also source exotic and specialty woods on request. Each species has unique grain patterns, color, and characteristics.
Is refacing cheaper than replacing cabinets?
Yes, typically 40-60% less than full custom replacement. Refacing makes sense when the existing cabinet boxes are in good structural condition and you're happy with the current layout. If you want to change the layout, full custom is the better investment.
Do you handle countertop installation too?
We coordinate with trusted countertop fabricators for granite, quartz, marble, and butcher block installation. We template for countertops during cabinet installation to ensure a perfect fit. One project manager handles the coordination.
