How long does hardwood floor installation take?
A typical room takes 1-2 days for installation plus a day for acclimation before starting. Whole-house installations usually take 3-5 days. Refinishing takes 3-5 days including sanding, staining, and curing time.
Is luxury vinyl plank as durable as hardwood?
LVP is more resistant to scratches, dents, and water damage than real hardwood. It's an excellent choice for families with pets and kids, kitchens, and basements. High-quality LVP can last 20+ years with proper care.
Can you install flooring over my existing floor?
In many cases, yes. Floating floors like LVP and laminate can often go over existing hard surfaces if they're level and in good condition. We'll assess your existing floor and recommend whether overlay or removal is the better option.
How do I maintain my new hardwood floors?
Regular sweeping or dust mopping, prompt spill cleanup, felt pads under furniture, and avoiding wet mopping are the basics. We'll provide specific care instructions based on your finish type and recommend maintenance products.
