Häufige Herausforderungen unserer Kunden — und wie wir helfen.
Is your child not talking as much as other kids their age?
If your 18-month-old isn't saying any words, or your 2-year-old uses fewer than 50 words, a speech evaluation can determine if they need help. Early intervention during the critical language development window produces dramatically better outcomes.
Can people outside your family not understand your child's speech?
By age 4, most of your child's speech should be understood by unfamiliar listeners. Persistent sound errors, substitutions, or unclear speech may need articulation therapy to correct patterns before they become ingrained habits.
Is your child's stuttering getting worse instead of better?
While some toddler disfluency resolves naturally, stuttering that persists past age 4 or involves visible tension typically needs professional treatment. Early fluency therapy has the highest success rates — don't wait and see.
Is a loved one having trouble swallowing after a stroke or illness?
Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) can lead to aspiration pneumonia, malnutrition, and dehydration. A speech-language pathologist evaluates swallowing function and creates a safe eating plan to prevent dangerous complications.
Has your voice been hoarse for more than two weeks?
Persistent hoarseness can indicate vocal nodules, polyps, or other vocal cord issues. Voice therapy addresses the underlying muscle tension and vocal behaviors causing the problem — often avoiding surgery altogether.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Sie haben Fragen? Wir haben Antworten.
At what age should my child start speech therapy?
There's no minimum age. We work with children as young as 12-18 months for early language intervention. The earlier therapy begins, the better the outcomes. If your pediatrician, teacher, or your own instincts say something seems off, trust that and get an evaluation.
How long will my child need speech therapy?
It varies widely by the condition and severity. Simple articulation errors may resolve in 3-6 months. Language delays or fluency disorders may require 6-12 months or longer. We set measurable goals, track progress monthly, and adjust the plan based on your child's response.
Does insurance cover speech therapy?
Most insurance plans cover speech-language pathology services when medically necessary. We verify your benefits before the first visit. Many plans cover 30-60 visits per year. Early intervention programs and school-based services may also be available at no cost.
What's the difference between speech therapy at school and private therapy?
School-based therapy focuses on how speech and language affect academic performance. Private therapy addresses the full scope of communication needs with more frequent sessions, individualized attention, and parent involvement. Many families use both for the best outcomes.
Do you work with adults too?
Absolutely. We treat adults for voice disorders, stuttering, swallowing difficulties, and cognitive-communication impairments from stroke, TBI, Parkinson's, and other neurological conditions. Speech therapy isn't just for children.
Was unsere Kunden sagen
Verlassen Sie sich nicht nur auf unser Wort — hören Sie von unseren zufriedenen Kunden.
“Our son was 2.5 and barely saying 10 words while his peers were speaking in sentences. After six months of therapy, he's using 3-4 word phrases and his vocabulary has exploded. The therapist's parent coaching gave us tools to support him every day at home — that made the biggest difference.”
Amanda Smith
“My daughter had a severe lisp that was affecting her confidence at school. Other kids were starting to notice and she was becoming withdrawn. After four months of articulation therapy, the lisp is gone and she's back to being her outgoing self. The transformation in her confidence was the real victory.”
Thomas Williams
“I've stuttered my entire adult life and assumed nothing could help at my age. The fluency therapy here uses techniques I'd never tried before, and for the first time I can make phone calls, give presentations, and order at restaurants without dread. It's never too late — I wish I'd started sooner.”
Jessica Brown
“After my father's stroke, he couldn't swallow safely and was on a feeding tube. The speech therapist worked with him three times a week on swallowing exercises, and after two months he was eating soft foods again. After four months, he's back to a mostly normal diet. She gave him his meals back.”
Daniel Jones
“I'm a teacher who lost my voice every semester from vocal strain. The voice therapist identified my harmful vocal habits, taught me resonant voice techniques, and I've been teaching a full school year without losing my voice for the first time ever. Life-changing for my career.”
