What training methods do you use?
We use exclusively positive reinforcement-based methods backed by animal behavior science. This means rewarding desired behaviors with treats, toys, and praise rather than using punishment, shock collars, or intimidation. Dogs trained with positive reinforcement learn faster and retain behaviors longer.
How old does my dog need to be to start training?
Puppies can start as early as 8 weeks old with our Puppy Foundation class. There is no upper age limit — dogs of any age can learn new behaviors. In fact, older dogs with established habits often benefit the most from professional training.
How long does it take to see results?
Most owners see noticeable improvement within 2-3 sessions. A full 6-week course produces reliable, consistent behaviors. Complex behavioral issues like reactivity or aggression typically require 6-8 weeks. Consistency with homework between sessions is the biggest factor in speed of progress.
Do you guarantee results?
We guarantee our teaching — if you or your dog are not progressing, we adjust the plan at no extra cost. However, training is a partnership. Dogs need consistent practice at home to retain what they learn in sessions. We provide detailed homework and support between sessions to set you up for success.
Should I choose group classes or private sessions?
Group classes are ideal for puppies, basic obedience, and dogs that need socialization practice. Private sessions are better for behavioral issues (aggression, reactivity, anxiety) or busy schedules. Many clients start with private sessions and transition to group classes once their dog is ready.
