Sfide comuni che i nostri clienti affrontano — e come aiutiamo.
Is hand or wrist pain making it impossible to do your job?
Carpal tunnel, trigger finger, tendinitis, and arthritis can make every task from typing to turning a doorknob painful. Our certified hand therapists provide specialized treatment that gets you back to full function — often without surgery.
Is your child struggling with handwriting, buttons, or scissors at school?
Fine motor delays affect academic performance and self-confidence. Occupational therapy builds the hand strength, coordination, and visual-motor skills children need for handwriting, self-care, and classroom activities.
Does your child have meltdowns triggered by certain textures, sounds, or environments?
Sensory processing difficulties can cause extreme reactions to everyday experiences. Sensory integration therapy helps the brain process sensory input more effectively — reducing meltdowns and improving a child's ability to participate in daily life.
Are you struggling to perform basic daily tasks after a stroke or injury?
Losing the ability to dress yourself, prepare a meal, or shower independently is devastating. ADL retraining combines therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and specialized equipment to rebuild the independence that matters most to you.
Are repetitive strain injuries affecting your employees' productivity?
Carpal tunnel, tendinitis, and back pain from poor workstation setup cost businesses billions annually. Our ergonomic assessments identify risk factors and implement solutions before injuries lead to workers' comp claims and lost productivity.
Is lymphedema swelling limiting your movement and quality of life after cancer treatment?
Post-surgical lymphedema is common but manageable with proper therapy. Our certified lymphedema therapists use complete decongestive therapy to reduce swelling, manage symptoms, and restore comfortable movement.
Domande Frequenti
Hai domande? Abbiamo le risposte.
What's the difference between occupational therapy and physical therapy?
Physical therapy focuses on restoring movement, strength, and mobility. Occupational therapy focuses on restoring the ability to perform daily activities — dressing, cooking, working, writing, self-care. There's overlap, but OT's unique focus is on function and independence in the tasks that matter to your life.
Does my child need occupational therapy or are they just developing slowly?
Some variation in development is normal, but certain signs warrant evaluation: difficulty with buttons or zippers by age 5, illegible handwriting despite practice, extreme sensitivity to textures or sounds, frequent clumsiness, or avoidance of age-appropriate activities. An evaluation determines if therapy would help.
What is a certified hand therapist (CHT)?
A CHT is an occupational therapist or physical therapist with at least 4,000 hours of specialized hand therapy experience who has passed a rigorous certification exam. They are the most qualified professionals for treating hand, wrist, and elbow conditions — from post-surgical rehab to chronic conditions.
How long does occupational therapy treatment typically last?
Treatment duration varies widely. Pediatric fine motor therapy may take 3-6 months. Post-surgical hand therapy typically runs 6-12 weeks. Stroke or brain injury rehabilitation may continue for months. We set clear goals, measure progress, and discharge when you've met your functional objectives.
Does insurance cover occupational therapy?
Yes, most insurance plans cover occupational therapy when prescribed by a physician. Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial plans provide coverage for medically necessary OT services. We verify your benefits and obtain any required authorizations before starting treatment.
Cosa Dicono i Nostri Clienti
Non fidarti solo della nostra parola — ascolta i nostri clienti soddisfatti.
“After my tendon repair surgery, I couldn't make a fist or grip anything. The certified hand therapist here fabricated a custom splint, created a precise exercise protocol, and progressively rebuilt my hand strength over 10 weeks. I'm back to full grip strength and playing guitar again. Incredible expertise.”
James Taylor
“Our son was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and school was a nightmare — daily meltdowns, couldn't sit still, refused to touch craft materials. After six months of OT with sensory integration, he's a different kid. He participates in class, tolerates new textures, and actually enjoys school now.”
Maria Thomas
“I developed severe carpal tunnel from 20 years of typing. The hand therapist made me a custom night splint, taught me nerve gliding exercises, and redesigned my workstation. I avoided surgery completely and have been pain-free for over a year now.”
David White
“My mother had a massive stroke and couldn't do anything for herself. The OT worked with her on everything from brushing her teeth to making a sandwich. It was slow, but after four months she's living independently again with a few adaptive tools. The therapist never gave up on her.”
Lisa Johnson
“Our company brought in the OT team for ergonomic assessments after a spike in repetitive strain injuries. They evaluated every workstation, made practical recommendations, and our injury claims dropped by 60% the following year. Best investment we've made in employee health.”
